The Ghost of You

from INCUBATOR by Mirrorcandy

/

lyrics

The Only boy I even loved,
He only loved himself
He loved the tar and liquor too,
I should have got him help

The last time that I saw my man
He flicked his cigarette
and told me not to worry none
He'd be back before bed

I didn't know you'd fall so hard
i didn't know how fast
I only know how hard I cried
when you never came back

I sit outside my Mobil home in black from head to foot
I pray the liquor takes me soon
on home to Shangri-La
On home to Shangri-La

The ghost of you comes traipsing through
My dreams most every night
and plays for me your steel string
until it's light outside

The only boy I ever loved
He only loved himself
He loved the tar and liquor too
I should have gotten help
I should have got him help.
